The George Washington University Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center located in Washington, D.C. only blocks from the White House and US Capitol.  The hospital  is affiliated with the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.  The current 400,000 square feet , 9 story facility opened in August 2002, with 371 beds.
